Founding Head of Sales Opportunity - Perfect Venue
Posting this opportunity for visibility to the Leap network. Perfect Venue is a seed stage business looking for a Head of Sales.
About the business:
CRM for restaurants to manage their private events. Many restaurants are managing hundreds of thousands of dollars in events using spreadsheets and word docs. US restaurants book an estimated $80B in private events annually.
Perfect Venue provides an all-in-one tool for restaurants to track leads, send proposals, and get paid all in one place. Quick demo here.
Current company team is 15; Sales team is 4 (2 AEs and 2 SDRs).
Strong PMF with hundreds of paying customers, #1 on G2. Your job as Head of Sales will be to take the company to the next level by building a strong outbound machine to complement the existing inbound traffic.
Must Haves:
Excited (and able) to come into their SF office. This company is building an in-office culture and this hire is going to be critical for establishing that culture for existing and future employees.
High velocity outbound sales experience. The average annual contract value is ~$3k, but there is also an opportunity for larger five/six-figure deals with large hospitality groups.
Sales management at a seed/series A business
Co-selling with reps non-stop. This Head of Sales position is more of a front-line sales manager to start. We’re looking for a person to drive revenue forward from the front that can grow with the business.
About the founder:
West Point graduate with military experience. Led 30 soldiers in Afghanistan.
Always on. This guy is on a mission and you should only consider this opportunity if you would be excited to match a high level of intensity and commitment every day. The result of joining him can very well be a career making opportunity.
My take:
I served as their fractional Head of Sales recently and the company is a rocket ship. I’ve listened to calls with restaurant owners having “aha” moments about the opportunity to rent out their space and run a higher margin revenue stream inside their location.
My belief is that the total addressable market of events management software can increase much more than what’s projected by analysts.
Personally, I’ve known Luke for over 5 years now and have seen how he can run through walls to get things done like the pandemic which directly impacted his business.
Bottom line: I’m a big believer in Luke and Perfect Venue. After consulting Luke and his team I took that money and reinvested it back into their business. Product market fit is there and in my opinion the biggest risk to getting to the next level in ARR is execution. If you’re interested in this opportunity shoot me a note and let’s chat.
